When LED watches first came out in the early 1970s, there were no ladies models. This is not because it was deemed unsuitable for ladies to wear high technology watches, but because the technology was not capable yet of producing a watch small enough for a traditionally sized ladies watch.

Towards the mid 1970s, the technology had advanced enough to start to build watches in ladies' sizes. The small batteries had become available and the microelectronics had continued to shrink enough to make this possible. By 1977, it was possible to produce ladies watches inexpensively enough for the average person, which is why this Texas Instruments watch entered the market.

This Texas Instruments ladies watch is about the size of a nickel with a round time screen about the size of a penny. It features an elegant lightweight chain style bracelet.

Condition:

Case: Very good.
This Texas Instruments ladies' watch is in very good condition with just a few tiny nicks on the case. The case back is almost scratch free.

Face / Hands: Excellent.
All LED digits and segments are complete and bright.

Crystal: Very good.
The red acrylic crystal has been repolished to be smooth and free of scratches. Since it has been repolished, the edges around the perimeter are a bit less sharp than they would otherwise be.

Band / Bracelet: Excellent.
The bracelet is in perfect condition.

Function / Accuracy: Excellent.
All functions work perfectly. Digital quartz accuracy.
