This Bulova Caravelle jump hour is a great reliable mechanical watch with the easy to read characteristics of a digital.

The Caravelle line of watches was conceived by Bulova to be a more economical line of watches, but they also allowed Bulova to experiement with more innovative designs than they could with their main brand, which tended towards high quality but conservative designs. Many of the most modern and bold designs from Bulova in the 1970s were from their Caravelle line.

This jump hour watch features a very easy to read dial with hours, minutes, and seconds. Once each hour the hours tick over with a pleasant audible click. The bezel features nice radial machining marks that give it a nice shine in the sunlight while the sides are highly polished. The crown is signed with a Caravell "C". The blue dial features a nice anisotropic texture of fine concentric grooves that reflect the light like a vinyl record in the sun.

Condition:

Case: Very good.
Overall, the case is in very good condition with just a few light marks visible on the highly polished case sides. The radial machining marks on the front bezel are sharp and crisp and the case still has nice sharp edges. The case back has only a few very light marks.

Face / Hands: Excellent.
The face and hands are in excellent condition with no discoloration or wear.

Crystal: Very good.
The crystal is in very good condition with no significant visible marks.

Band / Bracelet: Very good.
The stainless steel band is a replacement non-vintage band, but it matches the watch well and is in perfect condition.

Function / Accuracy: Excellent.
This watch sets, winds easily and runs perfectly. It keeps good time and is quite reliable.
